Hey everyone. I am hoping someone can help me figure out what I am doing
wrong. I used the cable that came with my camera and connected to the
computer via the yellow video and white audio inputs, and I am able to obtain
the video but there is no audio. I then tried it using an S-video cable, and
the same results. Why is the audio not coming thru? I hear it on the
playbakck from my camcorder, but not from the computer. There are no inputs
muted, so I can't figure it out...
Thanks for any and all help.
John

Movie Maker was designed to work with mini-DV or digital8 camcorders
connected by firewire.... sometimes connections like yours work but most of
the time they don't.

You need a capture device of some sort.... what camcorder brand and model
are you using, and are you using a video capture device?

Hi
I used a Samsung SCL860 Hi8 with digital signal processing. I used the cable
that came with it, with a mini jack on one end and standard video and audio
jacks at the other end. Then I tried and S-Video cable, and same results with
both. I went to Tucows and downloaded a couple of capturing software
packages, but neither worked any better than MM. The input into my computer
is via the Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II capture, which is integrated into my
computer.
Any of that sort it out?
Thanks
John
