Somehow I corrupted something. Symptons:

I have a network adapter, that does NOT find DHCP, and when I manually
assign IP, it says it is working fine but an ipconfig /all shows ip address
of 0.0.0.0.

I have removed AND uninstalled the device. rebooted numerous times,
downloaded the vendors drivers and attempted to install them (unsuccessful).

Have you considered the possibility that the network card or cable is
faulty?

Carl Tried to renew your ip address by typing the following comand at the dos
prompt. "ipconfig/renew" This will renew your IP address on your nic card.
You do have to have the DHCP on auto before doing the renew IP task.

I would suspect a faulty NIC. You assigned a static IP address and it still
displays as 0.0.0.0? A faulty network cable would affect DHCP, but not
static addresses. Try swapping the card with a card you know works (pull one
from an actively used machine if possible) and see what happens.
