help ! Network connection

I recently installed windows udate(bad move) as whne i
restart my comp my network connections has been cleaned
out. I can still conect to the internet but when i try to
install a wireless network my comp does not reconise
thats its there. Also when i try seting up a network
conection through the wizard nothing loads which i recon
it has been deleted

First make sure that your Network Connections Service and Remote Access
Connection Manager services are running. If they are then compare the LAN
connections in the connections folder with the Network Adapter drivers in
device manager. If there is a Network Adapter driver that doesn't have a
corresponding connection in the connections folder then try reinstalling it.
