What about them? I'm sorry, but your post is not clear enough to get a
good answer. If English is not your first language, perhaps posting in
one of the other-language MS newsgroups would be better. In any case,
here are generic troubleshooting steps for you to take:

General Windows troubleshooting: 1) scan with current antivirus using
updated definitions; 2) remove spyware with tools such as Spybot S&D
(www.security.kolla.de) and/or Ad-aware (www.lavasoftusa.com) - note
that it is a good idea to do virus and spyware scans in Safe Mode; 3)
delete temporary and Temporary Internet Files; 4) stop unnecessary
services/programs from running at startup (see www.blackviper.com for a
listing of services). After making sure the computer is clean - does
the problem persist? If yes, then post back with details or contact
good local computer repair shop.

I'm not sure what is happening - perhaps someone else like Kelly will
have a fix - however, I think you need to get to the root of why your
system is crashing. When properly configured on good hardware, XP is a
stable operating system. Do the troubleshooting steps I gave you, and
think about having a computer repair shop look over the machine for
hardware issues.

When a program goes resident (i.e. puts a little icon in your system tray),
it won't always monitor to see if it's still there or not. That's just a
function of the program.

When the explorer.exe process crashes, Windows will actually kill the
process off (remove virtually all running traces of it) and then re-run it
again to bring it back up and give you the UI controls/widgets that you're
used to (namely the entire task bar...). Some/most of the programs that are
launched to the System Tray are not there because when Explorer reloaded, it
had no way of knowing, and the programs themselves don't refresh. Some do,
most don't.

I agree with Malke in trying to decipher what's happening to the system
that's making it crash, rather then worrying about the icons, first.
