Help needed with IE 6 favourites

I am trying to rearrange my favourites so I went into Organise Favourites
found the item I wanted to move and then clicked and dragged it to where I
wanted it.

However, it would not go where I wanted it to, I could drag it to the
required location but when I let go of the mouse button it would not move
there.

Any idea what's going on?

How can I fix it so that I can drag and drop my favourites to move them
around?
I can cut and paste them but it is annoying as it takes so much longer.

Any help will be gratefully appreciated.

Favorites is just a folder on your hard drive - like any other. Find it in
Explorer and do you're rearranging there. Maybe you will then figure out
what is causing your problem.

Make sure that you have less than 193 favorites in the list.
