I have a windows 200 server and windows 2003 server both
on the same subnet
but with differnet default gateways on site 1. On site 2 I
have a remote
workstation which connects via a vpn to the site 1. my
problem is that the
workstation on site 2 can see the win 2003 server in site
1 but not the win
2000 machine which has the exchange installed which I need
to be able to
access from site 2, but I also need to be able to access
winodws 2003 server
also which I can at the moment. I know it has something to
do with the fact
that they have diffenent gateways but is there a work
around or a solution?
Changing the default gateways isnt really an option.

Any Help would be gratefuly received!

THanks Simon

Using different default gateways will always cause odd problems. What
is the reason behind this?

T correct method is to use one default gateway, and use static routing
to get the required traffic to the "other" gateway. By definition, a default
gateway is used when no defined route exists.

So both servers should be using the Internet gateway as their default
gateway setting. The gateway router should have a specific route (or routes)
to redirect traffic for the remote sites to the SonicWall.
