I have tried to get voice over onto video clips to no avail, also tried to
enter descriptions onto the first video clip in a sequence, only appears
before the clip? Once I have mastered this program, how or what software
do I use to save to CD or DVD, which do I use? I am using Windows XP pro
SP2 and have Nero Smart start installed, should I use this program? I have
only just started to use my still digital camera Fujipix 6800 zoom for taking
short movies, (as used a camcorder before saving onto VCR tape). Please
direct me to suitable sites giving me some instructions. I am a complete
novice on video from my Smart Media card. Any help would be appreciated?
Thanks.

First use timeline view instead of storyboard view. You should see your
voice over. Click and drag it to where you want.
2nd if your version of Nero included Nero Vision Express then yes that
program will work to create your DVD.
As to some sites to get you started here's a quick list:
Papajohn's website: www.papajohn.org
Wojo's Web (my website): www.wojos-web.co.nr
Rehan's website: http://www.rehanfx.org/
Graham's website: http://www.myvideoproblems.com/

Thanks for your advice, I do not have Nero Vision Express installed,
because I did not install it, but can do so from the original disk. Would I
then be able to view the DVD on my DVD recorder on the TV? You do mention
DVD, so is that the best to use, not a CD? Will look on the websites you
mention.

I am having a problem getting voice overs recorded onto Movie Maker, can
only just hear myself, am I doing something wrong? I only have a mike, not
earphones with mike attached. Do get feed back from the speakers as well,
but then if I turn them down, cannot hear myself. Any advice on this please?

Yes, if you use Nero Vision Express to author a DVD or VCD then it will play
on home DVD players.
You can use DVD or CD depending on your needs and hardware.
If you have a DVD burner then I would use DVD but otherwise you can burn a
VCD which uses a CD.

To tell the truth I don't do voice-overs. I don't even have a microphone so
I am not the best one to answer that for you.
