My scanner stop working.
I found a badly burned RESISTANCE so bad that I cannot read the value
anymore so I cannot replace it.
R105 is the resistance on the circuit board.
I dont have the circuit board diagram so I dont know the value.
Anyone to help me with the value of R105 on a Scanjet 5370c ?
Help from HP is no good at all.
Pleas help

Not a chance without a service manual. Did you ask for a "Service Manual"?
Phone support is the only way to get a service manual, and you will have to
pay for one.

Not many people are comfortable taking a scanner apart. I do not have a
Scanjet 5370c.

Can you determine where the resistor is in the circuit. Power supply or
somewhere else.
What is the size of the resistor: 1/4 watt, 1/2 watt, 1 watt, 2 watt or
larger?

The fact the resistor burned up shows that there is probably a short
somewhere. You have to clear the short in any case before replacing the
resistor.
