I emailed a resume and cover letter to someone. I use Wordperfect. They
emailed back and said send it in Word. I'm not exactly sure how to do this.
When I open the document and go to save as there's like 10 different versions
of Word. Which one do I use?

Preferably the version that they're using. If you don't
know and don't want to ask, something like 2000 is
probably pretty safe. If they're a buggy whip
manufacturer, try an older one ;-)

In the Save Ad type dialog choose the most recent version of Word available
or use RTF format to save the decument which compatible with Word.

Is Word the same thing as Wordpad?

After I save it in Word and go to the open file box and point the cursor at
the icon it says "Wordpad"

You probably don't have WORD installed, so WordPad is the
default program. See my other answer on your duplicate post
about RTF and unhiding file extensions.

Make it a fairly early one, like say Word 6. Any version they are
running should be able to read that, and less likelihood of your WP
getting it wrong
