Have a subform with fields first name, last name, phone, expiration date,
membership status. I want a calculated control to display the total number of
records that appear in the subform. How do I do this?

Use the View menu in form design to make the Footer of the subform visible. On
the subform put a textbox with a control source

=Count(*)

Please don't multipost your question; I see you've asked this in separate
posts in multiple newsgroups. This just wastes your time (looking several
places) and the volunteers' time, answering questions which may have already
been answered elsewhere. If you must post in multiple groups (it's rarely
necessary!), crosspost instead of multiposting. On the Discussions webpage use
"Advanced Options".
