Help my movie maker keeps exiting when i try and use transistions!!!!

I can use my movei maker fine but when i try and put in a transition it suddenly exits. I am useing version 5.1 (build 2600.xpsp2.030422-1633 : Service Pack 1). I have performed the movie maker 2 update. I am trying to make and litte intro video for my band's web site

Please Help!!
