HELP! My DVD Drive not recognized at all!!!

I go into device manager its a yellow bubble with an exclamation mark!!!
I can access any of my drives for that matter,
I have a laptop for school and i need this drive really badly,
PLZ Somebody help!!!

Restore cd/dvd drives to Explorer.

In the registry go to HKey_Local_Machine\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class and click on {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}. In the right pane you should see 2 entries "UpperFilters" and "LowerFilters".
Delete both.

I have the same problem and an error code39. Tried this and other suggestions
but nothing has helped so far.
