OK i have been messing with the way windows handles file types. Nothing wrong
with the file types i have been messing with. But now, everytime i try to
open a folder it goes to the search window instead. I lokked a little and
found out that the default left-click-option had been changed from "open" to
"search". I can't find any way to change it back, in the file type-thing it
says that there is no "search" option, only "open" and "explore", and no
matter which i set as the default option in there it is always "search" in
the reality. What shall i do?

P.S. I am not using the english version of Windows XP Pro (I am using the
Danish version), so i might call some things something wrong. My English
might be a bit flawed also.

Give this a try..

Hi, I have maybe the same problem. When I click on the search button it didnt
go anywhere. Unless I click on C: drive from my computer then there is
another search option and click on it. Question: Why my search button on the
Window explorer did work when click, on top of that option under TOOL tab
gone, it is very difficult to make changes especially revealing hidden files.

Please help

Will Denny hasn't posted here in a *very* long time. You are replying
to a message that is almost four years old. Please do *not* do that,
but post your question in a new thread with all the relevant
