HELP!*modem talks*

im currently a trainee at a computer shop and a customer
has requested a program!i havent even heard of being able
to do it but he insists you can do it, the program allows
you to dial a number from your computer to a mobile or a
home number!and he can talk through a mic and they can
talk to each other like they were both on a phone, but
one is talking through the internet or something and the
other is talking through a phone. can anyone please help
me on what program can do that!and if it is downloadable
where i can get it from! thanks in advance!

Internet telephony or voice-over-IP are a couple of search terms (phrases)
to get you started via Google or similar. Or go to downloads.com and enter
telephony in its search (Windows) field.
