Welcome to the forum

Italways amazes mehow people accidently manage to delete system files. Not the easiest task at all.
Anyway to sort your problem out you can perform a simple repair install

Find a friend that has a disk the can lend you. Or go online and download XP then burn it to disk. Problem solved.

or buy a copy?:thumb:
that way you get the disc for ever & a product key!:wave:

time for 20 questions :)

1. Did you ever have a CD?

2. Is this one of them stupid systems that never gave you one?

3. If answer to question 1 is yes, then can you borrow one, of the same, off a friend?
(pro for pro/home for home) you use your "key" not theirs, it should be on the case somewhere.

4. If answer to question 2, look for a directory on the HD like C:\i386

5. can you find a winnt32.exe in question 4, if so, run it.

more questions to follow, as always :)

If you cannot at least borrow a CD, then you is not gonna get anywhere.
