Andre

I have a desktop running Win XP Pro with 1 GB Ram and 120
GB hard drive. I am experiencing two main issues. First,
my Windows Help and Support menu takes about 25-30
seconds to open. Can someone please advise if there are
any patches I can download to fix this or if there is
some configuration I can change to speed up the time it
takes to open?

Secondly, my computer crashes frequently. I have run
Windows Update and there are no more updates available
for me to download and install. I am involved in a lot
and have maybe 30 or so [various] software programs
installed. My computer hangs from 2-4 times daily. How
can I fix this problem?

Please post a response or email me directly.

Hi there,

Start Menu/Help and Support doesn't work:

Click Start->Run and type "helpctr -regserver" (with out
quotation marks) click OK.

If still no joy, then reinstall Help and Support:

Click Start-> Run and type "C:\Windows\inf" and click OK.

Locate pchealth.inf file and Right-click and choose
install. Have your Windows XP CD handy.
