HELP media player

ok i feel that i am quite godd at vista etc but now for some reason when i
start up media player it says that it has stopped working and to check for a
solution online. so i do this and what a suprise "no solutions found" i
can't get media center to work either?
when i try to unistall wmp it says operation failed

wny ideas?

have you installed incompatible codecs ?
 
nope abuslutly nothing. well xcep ll my music and vids but tht never made a
difference before. i havnt installed any progs recently eitherso i don't
know what it ould be
