i have a w2k server,it is PDC,(only one DC in
Doamain),when i use a XP workation to link to server. it
can pass username,but it is slowly. in XP event viewer, it
is:
Windows cannot access the file gpt.ini for GPO CN=
{31B2F340-016D-11D2-945F-
00C04FB984F9},CN=Policies,CN=System,DC=xxxx,DC=com,DC=cn.
The file must be present at the location
<\\xxxx.com.cn\sysvol\xxxx.com.cn\Policies\{31B2F340-016D-
11D2-945F-00C04FB984F9}\gpt.ini>. (The network path was
not found. ). Group Policy processing aborted.
or
Windows cannot obtain the domain controller name for your
computer network. (The specified domain either does not
exist or could not be contacted. ). Group Policy
processing aborted.
please help me

You need to either setup and configure, or re configure your DNS. A Win 2k
domain relies on properly configured DNS to find *anything*.
