HELP ME - stop error is evil

Im getting an error like this:" STOP: 0x000000D1

this error appears everytime i log into windows, or if i
let it sit at the logon prompt for too long. When it first
started, it gave me an error regarding something about
KMODE but i can not rememeber what it said, nor can i
recreate it on demand. It comes and goes. I have no idea
what has happened because i installed no new software nor
hardware. One morning my computer worked fine, the next
this started. Please if anyone has any input, i would love
to hear it.
