Sorry, no free email support and now you can expect to get lots of spam
at that address. Don't post your unmunged email address on Usenet or
messageboards; it will get harvested by spambots. See:
http://www.mailmsg.com/SPAM_munging.htm

You have been tricked into installing malware. Now your computer is
infested with something like Winfixer, WinAntivirus, or the like. Since
you didn't say which rogue program you used, here are general steps:

1. If you installed one of the Winfixer malware variants:

Per Dave Lipman, first uninstall any older Java versions. If the most
recent one is installed, clear the cache. Then:

Part 1
Download and run Adware-Virtumundo Removal Tool v1.5 --
http://secured2k.home.comcast.net/tools/VirtumundoBeGone.exe

Information on the Adware-Virtumundo Removal Tool:
http://forums.mcafeehelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=57049

Part 2
Download and run WinFixerFix.exe from the URL --
http://www.ik-cs.com/programs/virtools/WinFixerFix.exe

2. If you installed Spyaxe or SpySheriff or the like:

Part 1
Download and run noahdfear's SmitFraud and SpyAxe removal tool -
http://noahdfear.geekstogo.com/click counter/click.php?id=8

Part 2
Download and run David Lipman's tool -
http://www.ik-cs.com/programs/virtools/SmitFraud.exe

David's Instructions:
Execute SmitFraud.exe (Note: You must accept the default of C:\McAfee)
Choose Unzip
Choose Close

NOTE: You may have to disable your software firewall or allow WGET.EXE
to go through your firewall to enable WGET.EXE to download the needed
McAfee-related files.

Execute c:\mcafee\clean.bat (or Double-click on 'Clean Link' in c
\mcafee)

A final report in HTML format called C:\mcafee\ScanReport.HTML will be
generated. At the end of the scan, it will be displayed in your browser
(Opera, FireFox or Internet Explorer). It is suggested that you move
the report out of c:\mcafee before performing another scan.

Part 3
Go through these general malware removal steps:

Hi .... This is for you Glen For a temp solution right click on empty
space in task bar, left click customise, then find your icon that is causing
proplem, click on, then hide. This only hides problem, not removes it. Hope
this is of some use.

Hi All.....I have the same problem as Glen, but for a temporary solution what
i did was to customise my taskbar. Right click on empty space on task bar,
left click on customise and hide icon . This only hides icon and stops the
bubble. I hope this helps. I have Email " Winfixer" as this is the origin of
my problem, many times, I an now waiting on a phone call from them to help to
remove this thing

Follow the instructions given to the OP for removing WinFixer.
