Hi, i am looking to see if anyone can help me. I am using a lap top
that
has windows xp. now i must admit that i am not very computer literate,
i
am useless, but when i got this lap top about a year or so ago
everything was fine. about 6 months ago i got a trojan, then
something
else and it completly messed this all up. i then went a brought
something which got rid of it, but now i am left with no sound on
media
player. i try to play a cd or whatever but it says that windows is
having trouble and that a sound device is not installed or it could
be
used on another program. its not being used on anything else that i
am
aware of. please help me!
You are obviously downloading the wrong file then. Perhaps you arerachael-c said:I have tried to download from the manufacturer the audio drivers from
their website, it downloads then i have a message appear, "windows
cannot open this file. To open, windows needs to know what program
created it." It then gives me the option to search programs on web or
select manually from list. Do you know what i must do from here. Sorry
if its a stupid question, but im not computer literate.
