Okay, so I am old school... Netscape ....but its because my
Explorer doesn't work properly. I'm not sure of the
problem, I'm guessing a simple setting, but noone I ask
seems to know what to do. You are my last resort.
I don't even know if I will make it to this page again, so
if you can help, please e-mail me at
mrs.bradshaw"REMOVETHISQUOTE"@sympatico.ca.

Here is the problem,
If I click on a link, button etc. in a web page that
requires a new pop up page to appear, nothing happens. If
anything, a new page border appears, but you can see
through it like a window looking at the previous page, and
the mouse "thinking" icon runs.

For example
If I go here
http://www.canon.ca/english/index-customersupport.asp?pid=1
08
and click on Driver downloads, I can wait for days, and
nothing happens. I can't even update windows because it
requires this functionality. I'm even using netscape to
write this because when I click on the button for add New
Post, nothing happens.

Thanks for all thought and your help,
Please e-mail me at

From http://www.fjsmjs.com/OE/nolinks.htm

Open Windows Explorer.
Go to Tools | Folder Options | File Types.
Scroll down to URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol and select it.
Click Edit or Advanced, depending on your Windows version.
Select 'open'.
Click Edit.

"Application used to perform this action" should read:

"C:\PROGRAM FILES\INTERNET EXPLORER\iexplore.exe" -nohome
(Check the path to iexplore.exe to make sure that is correct and use the
double quotes.)

DDE should be checked and in the boxes below it you should have:

#1:
"%1",,-1,0,,,,
#2
IExplore
#3 (blank)

#4
WWW_OpenURL

URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol with Privacy should be the same.

Sometimes it is necessary to uncheck Use DDE.

If that doesn't fix it, go to Start | Run and type

regsvr32 urlmon.dll
