AOL won't help me.It keeps telling me GOODBY! I can't
stand it,5 minutes and I'm kicked off.Their support tells
me I've reached my bandwidth for the session,WHAT DOES
THAT MEAN?Am I over powering the system?I can't
comprehend why they boot me every 5 min..I want my $23
bucks worth. How can I get it out of them,Or configure my
system to use less bandwidth? Thanks so much in
advance,Do I keep checking back here to see if I get an
answer,or is there something I need to do to get an
answer.I am new to this.Wow I can't believe 6 min. and I
havent gotten the boot yet.

Sorry, but AOHELL users are already beyond help. But you can try the
following: -

1) Take the AOHELL CD

2) If you are old enough to drive, and have a licence, place it in the
middle of the drive and back over it several times.

3) If you are not old enough to drive - or don't have a licence - place
said CD in the microwave and cook on full power for a couple of minutes - it
really is fascinating, and most satisfying, to watch.

4) Place resulting mess in the rubbish

5) Pick up the phone, call AOHELL 'Customer Service' and tell them you
wish to cancel your account.

6) Ask people for recommendations for a proper ISP.

7) Call new ISP of choice and sign up.

There! Problem solved.

Unfortunately, removing AOHELL's trojanic software will, most likely,
require a complete format and reinstall.

You were an idiot to sign up with them in the first place! What's the
problem - not man enough for a *REAL* ISP?!

Here's some serious advice: Make absolutely sure you
don't have a re-mailer worm or trojan on your computer.
If it keeps sending emails out every ten seconds or so
you will hit the limit of AOL's email policy.

Bandwidth means how much you utilize the connection over
a period of time.

It came with my new hewlet packard,3 months free, had it
for 8 months now.New ISP?I was thinking of Walmart for
9.98,or DSL for 29 bucks, but thats kinda pricey for
me,would like to keep it about 25 bucks or less. You Are
WAY harsh dude,How do you like?Everyone at Bestbuy (where
I bought my computer) recomends AOL 9.0!I just want to
use it without getting the boot. After talking with
Packard support,I got a trojan dial from AOL spam, dialing
out and kicking the computer off,1-900 #,Can't wait to
get my bill,Think I'll go with Walmart 10 bucks sounds
like a good deal.

Erm, I think not. There's no such thing as "way harsh" when it comes to
AOHELL.;

Then I'd change where I shop, if I were you.

just want to

You're kidding, I hope! Walmart or an ISP? You need to get a real ISP, and
stay away from AOL, Walmart, and all the "Cheapo" ISP's. There is a reason
they are cheap, and the old adage applies; "you get what you pay for". The
frustration you will suffer using a bargain ISP will not make up for the
money you will "save". Do NOT use AOL or Walmart. BTW, the "experts" at
Best Buy all "recommend" AOL 9.0 because they get money every time they sign
someone up. If they see you as a sucker, they will get their bonus. Don't
be a doormat...do a little research and get a REAL ISP.
