On a couple of Local PC's at work, in order to get Printer sharing working,
I created a folder -- Prt on both PC's, then did a Map Network Drive action
on that folder. It allowed me to share the printers. Good. Showed up in
Network Neighborhood as 'Prt on Roane1' on one machine and 'Prt on Roane2'
on the other. Reconnected on Reboot, Logoff/Logon, etc. Perfect.
Later, I decided to get rid of those via 'Disconnect Mapped Drive' and
deleting Prt folders on both machines. Opted to Map folder 'Data' on both
machines to keep Printer Sharing alive and allow each machine to access to
the files on the other. Showed up as 'Data on Roane1' and 'Data on Roane2'
respectively in Network Neighborhood. That worked.
Problem is, 'Prt on Roane1' and 'Prt on Roane2' still show up in Network
Neighborhood, although now inaccessible: "...no longer available"
I'd like to get rid of those references, but can't figure out how.
The new 'Data' mappings were assigned to drive letter E (D is CDROM) on
their respictive machines, so it's not like a drive letter got skipped
because of the previous 'Prt' mapping.
