If anyone can help me I would appreciate it! Access 2000,
I was renaming a column when the program quit and
displayed this error message when I tried to re-open it:
"Microsoft Access has encountered a problem and needs to
close. We are sorry for the inconvienence" How do I get my
database back up and running? Thanks a bunch!

I would try rebooting your system first to restart your
services. If that doesn't work you may have a corrupt
database. Try opening a database that you know works or
opening a new database. As much info as I can give you.

Good luck,
Mike

When I've run into this; when push comes to shove, I
create a new database and attempt to import all of the
objects from the corrupted database, then rename the new
database back to the original name.
