I have modified my boys pc and now it will not boot up and asks for a boot
disk. The os is WindowsXP Home with SP1a . I have tried to make a startup
disk without success as I have a problem in creating the boot.ini file.
I have the NTdetect.com and NTDLR files on a floppy so what do I do next?
Please help, the boys are upset they cant use their PC.
Thanks in anticipation of someone helping
Jeff

The Windows XP CD is bootable - if your machine is new enough to boot from
CD you don't need start-up disks.

Boot from the CD (you may ahve to change the boot sequence in your BIOS
settings first) and perform a repair install.

BTW, what did you do in "modifying" the pc?
