I clicked on an e mail to delete it and it innstalled something on my
computer. Now, I keep getting the following: A large window popup that says
there is a mapi32.dll exception. I know this isnt from any microsoft product
because there are obvious error in the grammer of the message. The window
has fields for username's, passwords, SMTP and POP3 servers, name, login
name. Does anyone know anything about this? Is it a known virus? Apparently
my virus scanner (VCOM) doesnt have any definition for it. Any help would be
appreciated. How do I get rid of it?

just by viewing such a message. Once you get this sorted out, update it,
and be sure to apply all outstanding windows patches. In Internet Explorer,
use Tools/Windows update, and follow the prompts.

When did you last update the virus definitions for VCOM?
This is most likely, the swen worm, which has been around since September.

See http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/[email protected]
for details, and a link to a removal tool.

Try running an online virus scan. See http://www.claymania.com/panic.html for
general virus info, and links to various virus scanners.
