Hi, folks. I'm on a Dell with XP SP2. I had to restore today because McAfee
(McEvil) was screwing everything up, and afterward replaced that garbage
program with Symantec.

I messed up somewhere in setting up the administrator account.

Norton says I have a weak administrator password, but I don't remember
setting a password for THE administrator, but instead set up my account with
administrative priveleges.

So how do I access THE administrator? It doesn't appear on the screen when I
switch users.

HELP!

Home or Pro edition?

Hi,

To access the default administrator account:

In WinXP Pro, hit ctrl+alt+delete twice at the logon screen and type it in.

In WinXP Home, you must restart and enter Safe mode by hitting F8 at
startup. The administrator logon will be one of the options.

Once an account is created with administrator privileges, the default admin
account will no longer appear on the logon screen.
