Hello,

This problem just arised this morning and has occurred on
three hosts. This is the error message received when
trying to log on through the domain and local account.

"the local policy of this system does not permit you to
login interactively console"

Even if I unplug the host from the network I can not log
on using the local admin account. I have checked my
domain policy and it is not denying access to log on.
Accounts are not locked out.

I was able to log on with a domain user test account then
I elevated the account to have admin rights and checked
the Local Security Settings. It seems the local policy
settings are checked but the Effective policy setting is
not checked. The Group Policy on the domain has not been
changed. What could be causing this? Help!!! Thank you.

Something must have changed and the previous post will
help you track it. This should get you running until you
figure it out. Try adding the proper rights with
NTRights --> 315276 "How to Set Logon User Rights by
Using the NTRights Utility" The one you need is
SeInteractiveLogonRight.
