I thought that I had Remote Desktop working fine from my Toshiba Tablet PC
(remote) to my HP Media Center PC (host). I was able to access my host and
do whatever I wanted. Pretty amazing really.

Now comes the problem. My HP Media Center PC (the host) became very
sluggish so I restarted the machine. When it came back up "I" my user name
and password were gone! It had my remote user name and password (I had set
this up in "Select Remote Users" during the Remote Desktop setup).

I've "lost" (temporarily I hope) the ability to log into the host locally
with my regular username and password. They don't show up in the "User
Accounts" so in essesence I lost my settings, desktop, "my documents",
network connections, etc.

I can "see" them because as an administrator I can see the physical contents
of the hard disk.

Any ideas on how to get "me" back to "me"? I've spend hundreds of hours
getting my machine set up "just so" and I don't want to start over again.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Thanks... Tom Gordon

Were you using the Administrator Account (or a renamed Administrator
account)?

If so, see http://www.winguides.com/registry/display.php/1165/
