Sir Spence

Hi,

Could someone point me in the right direction please...

I have a windowsXP machine in my upstairs study, which is connected to the
internet via a usb adsl modem, I had one network card and used ICS to
connect to a hub with 2 cables one to each of my 2 sons pc's... all works
great...

I have just been issued a laptop from work which has a built in 802.11b
wireless card, I got hold of a spare (from work) PCI WMP11 linksys wireless
card, I installed this in my XP machine (I call this my gateway machine)
Installed all the drivers etc.. and it shows okay in device manager and has
a good signal to my laptop (I set it up in ad-hoc mode)

This is where my problem is, ICS seems to only let you bind it to one
network interface !! and I now have 2, one for my cabled cat5 network and a
wireless card, If I choose the wireless card as the ICS share the wireless
works okay, i get IP address and I can go on the internet, but neither of my
sons can ?? So I have had to put it back...

Is there anything I can do without having to go and buy an Access Point??
anything in the registry to tweak to allow ICS to use 2 network cards ??

Any help would be greatly apreciated..

Many Thanks

SS

ICS doesn't support two internal interfaces. A wireless base station like
the Microsoft MN-500 would be the best solution.
