Hello everybody. I upgraded my Windows XP Home to Windows XP Pro. While it
was installing something happened. I saw an error. I couldn't remember it but
now XP Pro doesn't run properly. I was going to reinstall it but instead of
upgrade I clicked new installation. I didn't install it becasue I was scared
that it's going to delete all my files and I have A LOT! So when I do a new
installation will it delete my files?

Boot from the XP CD and opt for a repair install. Select a repair of the
previous Home installation.

If you do anew installation it should create a complete new everything for
Pro and leave Home as is and give you a dual-boot option.

Anyone who doesn't back up before upgrading deserves everything they get
when it goes wrong. Of course it will wipe out your files!
