I am running Windows 98SE on the C drive. The second drive, D, has no
operating system on it. I have the XP upgrade version and would like
to install it on the D drive since it is a newer one. How should I do
this? Thanks for any help.

Hi,

Boot Win98, insert the WinXP CD and start the installer. When prompted begin
a new installation, and direct the system files to D:\Windows rather than
C:\Windows. Setup will create a native dual boot for you.

Thanks for the help. After I install XP on the D drive how will I
then be able to boot to the D drive?

During the old 'DOS' style start up screen it will prompt you for which
drive you wish to boot from. This is known as a dual boot setup. Normally
you press a number to indicate which drive to go for unless you leave it
when it will default to the first one.
