Hi,

I need to install an Internet wifi card in an old laptop (circa 20000)
running under Windows 2000.

I have never used the operating system as I went from Windows 98 to XP!

The shop that wants to sell me the wifi card says you can't get original
PCMCIA cards but he has something that will fit. He also says it is
difficult to install as unlike XP there is no wizard.

Can anyone tell me how I will go about installing the card or give me any
tips.

Many thanks,

Noel

Are you a visitor coming back from the future (year 20,000)?

Just insert the card, then run the setup program on your driver CD. If it's
worth the money then it will guide you through the setup process. It should
also install a management module on your PC.

What card? Go to the manufacturer's web site and download their driver
installation package for Windows 2000
