I am in trouble with the installation of RealPlayer 10.5 on a
new WinXP Pro operating system. As I am loading the
software, it goes thru most of the process, then hangs when
I am supposed to enter my choice of either 'paid' or 'free'
version of RealPlayer. Where can I get some help for
RealPlayer installation? Is this trouble fairly common?
Appreciate any suggestions.

Thank you for the reply. Since I am not a 'paid' customer, RealPlayer
folks does not help 'free' users. I have visited the web page
http://service.real.com/main.html
but I was not able to bring in the login page to log me in, in the RealPlayer,
instead it shows :-

"RealPlayer has encountered a problem and needs to close.
We are sorry for the inconvenience"
"Please tell Microsoft about this problem"

As usual, I have clicked and let Microsoft know about it.
This is why I am frustrated. Thanks for the reply.

Contacted RealPlayer Tech Group, but they could not tell why
RealPlayer does not behave properly if it is loaded after every
working program is loaded first, then the RealPlayer is loaded.
I had to reload the XP Pro again in E: drive (since I do test Betas)
As usual I loaded all the device managers, then loaded the
RealPlayer 10.5... After that I loaded all other programs, then
loaded the IE7 Beta2. Every thing is working now. I can log
on to my RealPlayer account now.

Moral of the story :-
Install RealPlayer first then the remaining programs, if you are
loading bunch of Beta software, that hasn't been verified yet.

Good Day
