I'm having trouble determining whether an AMD processor I just received is a
Black Edition or not. I sent for an AMD X2 7750+ Black Edition CPU and they
sent one with the code number AD7750WCGHBOX. I cannot find mention of this
model number on the AMD site whereas there is a clear reference to a batch
of 7750+ BE processors that I bought for customers a few months ago. Those
earlier ones had "Black Edition" printed on the box and their OPN number
AD775ZWCGHBOX is mentioned on the AMD website.

OTOH, a Google search found several hits for AD7750WCGHBOX Black Edition,
mostly on shopping sites. Do I have a BE version or not?

I think yours has a locked multiplier. The first entry is for yours.
The second one is the 7750 Black Edition.

Even without a translation of this page, I can see the disappointment
in this thread...

Thanks, Paul. Any idea why this model is not mentioned at all on the AMD
website?

It could be they removed it, when the product was no longer for sale ?

Since cpu-world managed to cache all the specs, it must have existed.

There are cases, where AMD will make a special version of a processor,
for an OEM order. That probably isn't what is going on in this case.

In general, I find the product info on AMD is flaky. I've seen
large numbers of processors go missing (like try and find info
on old Opterons), so this one being missing is not really a surprise.
