I have just upgraded my Word 2000 to Word 2003. When I go to help now, there
is no index anymore. Has this been dropped from Word 2003? When I am
talking about the index, I am talking about the long alphabetical list of
topics that you could click on. Now you have to type a topic in the box, and
you can't see other topics around it. Thanks.

Yes, the index has been eliminated. You can bet that Microsoft has
heard loud complaints about it. Whether that will do any good is yet
to be seen.

Jay,
Thanks for the information. I'm going to send Microsoft a real letter about
the lack of an index. That was a definite change for the worse.

I have pestered them on countless occasion to bring back the HELP INDEX. But
do they listen? In fact I have written about this on another thread. But I
see here that the HELP INDEX has definitely been removed. Thanks a million
