Can someone help me identify what kind of processor I have in these two
machines?

Under "My Computer" this is what is listed:

"x86 Family 6 Model 5 Stepping 1"

and

"x86 Family 7 Model 5 Stepping 3"

Can anyone help me find out what kind of processors are inside these boxes?

Thanks for your help!

If you click Start and Run, and run "msinfo32", under
system summary, it will give you a more detailed
description. For instance, mine says x86 Family 6 Model 8
Stepping 10, under my computer but in msinfo32 it also
adds "GenuineIntel ~863Mhz", so I know it is an Intel
Pentium running at 863 Mhz, making it the 866Mhz Processor.

Don't know if this helps much?

Google on "CPU ID identification program utility", and you should find
useful stuff. The ones packaged with Windows are limited. I have a
couple of these utilities for other OSs, and they provide very detailed
information, such as mfr, model numbers, etc.
