All,
If you are an AD expert in the DC area, drop me a line.
For all of those other experts, I need a little assistance.
I have a client that has an old server as the primary DC
running AD. We took it offline to make way for the new DC
running AD. I configured the new AD the same as the old
one. All of the computers were happily interacting with
the new DC.
The old data needed to be transfered. So, instead of
demoting the old DC, I pulled it in and transferred the
data. Then, I backed up the data on the new DC. I
unplugged the old DC.
Now, there seems to be a problem with the computers
interacting with the new DC. I think it is a DNS
problem. Can anyone help me here?
