Help! Icons and taskbar gone!

Can anyone help me? My taskbar and icons appear for about 10 seconds on boot
up and disappear, I have to access by task manager to get anywhere. Virus
swept with latest Norton and nothing came up. Any ideas please, kind regards

Aside from scanning with NAV (and if you didn't scan in Safe Mode, you
should), you should scan for non-viral malware. Here are some general

thanks, strangely enough after I wrote the query I managed to clear up the
problem, I have read the points on your site and have taken them onboard for
