Help...I have no access...

I purchased a used laptop from a third party and I am not
able to log in after booting up the computer. The laptop
runs Windows XP. Need to know how to bypass initial log
in or get rid of it all together. I know how to do this
once I am in XP but not during initial set up. Can anyone
help???
