Pretty much every time turn on my PC after shutdown , xp chkdsk runs and
finds disk errors, today xp refuse to start because a file was missing as a
result of disk errors.
I had to repair from CDROM.

Ive also lost some important files of which i had no backup cause chkdsk
didnt restore them in the found.00 folders it uses.

this is realy pissing me off coz now i always shutdown windows properly i
have no idea why this is always happening. I recetnly upgraded to an nforce2
epox 8rda+ motherboard and WD 120GB hard drive.

plz tell me why this could be happening cause I dont know where to start.
ive already tested the hard drive and it has no bad sectors. thankyou

WD should have a program that tests the drive. Boot from floppy and run the
advanced test on your HD. I had a fairly new 120GB go bad recently.
