Help...I did something i shouldnt have done

i was trying to uninstall windows messengers because my husband and i never
use it and i went to control panel, add or remove and then I went to
add/remove windows components. There i thought that if i unchecked everything
BUT windows messenger it would delete it but it didnt and now i can not click
onto the internet or check my email through outlook and when i try to add
back all the stuff i unadded....it says they can not find windows xp service
pack 2....what can i do???

The first thing I would try is System Restore. Pick a date before you
made all these changes. Instructions are here:
