I know I'm sober and not blind. I have a 137 slide presentation including
images and text. I am trying to copy to CD. I save it as PPS and when I copy
to CD and I launch the CD it shows the icon that I must click on to start the
show. I did some research and MS says I must click on file and then package
to CD, but when I click on file there is NO package to CD option.

HELP!!!!! Please, can anyone help me???

Thanks,

Stop, breathe deeply, calm down and start over. <VBG> Open PowerPoint, open
your presentation, go to File > Package for CD. Follow the dialog.

Package for CD is available only in PowerPoint 2003 when running Windows XP. If
your system is running Windows 2000 you'll see Package to Folder. It's almost
the same thing except that Win 2000 can't write directly to the CD, so instead
everything is put in a folder and you have to use your CD burning software to
actually create the CD.

Note: If you are not running PowerPoint 2003 then this is all a moot point.
Package for CD is NOT available in PowerPoint 97, 2000, or 2002.

Sonia, first of all God bless you for your reply, I was just 5 minutes of
slipping into the bath tub and popping open a vien!!

I followed your instructions and still under file there is no "package to Cd
option. The closest thing to that is "pack to go" which I have been thru and
dosnt help me. I am running Windows XP professional, does that make a
difference?

I'll go hit the bottle now as I await your reply.

Thanks,

Patrick

What version of PowerPoint are you running? As I said, " If you are not running
PowerPoint 2003 then this is all a moot point.
Package for CD is NOT available in PowerPoint 97, 2000, or 2002." I don't think
you have PowerPoint 2003. Go to Help > About and it will tell you what version
you have.

You'll need to use Pack and Go and create your own autorun CD, or you can check
out PowerLink Plus on my website - -
http://www.soniacoleman.com/Tutorials/PowerPoint/acdpc.htm. It's guaranteed to
keep you sane. <G>

Sonia, thank you for being so patient with me. You are very correct, I have
Power Point 2002. So besides drowning my sorrows in a gallon of Vodka, what
will be my next step? Can You please help as I am now falling behind in my
deadlines.

Sonia, I have downloaded the trial version of your Powerlink Plus. I
currently have Roxio as my burner software and I followed the usual steps to
create the CD but each step along the way I have not seen where your
programme is interacting with Roxio, does that mean they are or are not
working together? Also, the trial version is something I have tried already
and was successfull but with a twist. Before the auto run starts there is a
page which comes up when the CD begins to spin reffering to your home page
and that this CD was created by your sofetware, is this standard or can this
be excluded?

Thanks

Because this is not a PowerPoint question, I will respond to you via email. Can
you send your email address to me at
acdpc @ soniacoleman . com (remove the spaces)?
