I recently cut and pasted a document from the Internet
into Microsoft Word. The file contained links to sound
files (If you click on the word it took you to the file on
the internet) I cannot get this file to go away. If I
select "New Document" , it appears..I even erased and
reloaded Microsoft Office. It still happens. What do I
need to do? I never even saved this documnet, but was
merely using it as a "clipboard." Thanks

Robb

I cant find normal.dot on my harddrive???
-----Original Message-----
It sounds as if your normal.dot got changed. Search for
normal.dot on your harddrive, rename it to normal.old and
restart Word.

Does that help?
.

Same problem as Robb, I've deleted several documents but
they still show up in the task pane. How do I get rid of
them. If I click on them I get an error saying word can
not find them. Help Please.

Press Ctrl+Alt+Hyphen and click on the document in the MRU list at the
bottom of the File menu. This will also remove it from the New Document task
pane. Use this shortcut carefully: it will remove *any* menu item you click
on! If you press it in error or change your mind, press ESC to dismiss it.
