There are plenty CD-R/W for sale; you don't need to make any 
If you want to "burn" CD's with music that you have on your machine, use
Windows Media Player 10 (WMP10) with "Burn" option.
To have music files on your computer, you either:
1. "rip" (transfer) it from other media (AudioCD, tape),
2. download from other machines - va internetor
3. record your own tunes via microphone or "line in" connector.

Nilda, I am also having the same problems, I am down loading from winmx but I
can only get one downloaded track onto a 700mb blank cd. It only takes one
track then asks me to retry on insert a new disc, but all the help sites I
try have the same answers which are confusing me. I hope you recieved the
necessary help from someone and perhaps you can post it on this page when and
if you do.
