I have an xpsp2 machine that I just recently installed from an XPSP2
slipstream CD.
Since installing it, I have used xp-lite, xp-antispy, windows system
optomizer and group policy editor to "disable/uninstall" various items that
look like stuff I dont need (windows movie maker for example).
Now for some reason MSN messenger, Internet Explorer and any other code
that uses wininet.dll cant access https:// urls anymore. (Internet explorer)

I have re-enabled all the things that might have been an issue (anything to
do with security, authentication etc etc) but that didnt help.
Anyone got any clues what to do?
Any options in xplite, system optomiser, xp-antispy or group policy editor
that I should mess with?
Any programs or software out there that might help me debug this?
Is there a way to tell windows to re-install/re-enable all the stuff I
uninstalled/disabled without a complete reinstall of the OS and all my apps
and etc?

Hopefully someone can help me out :)

well I found some earlier info about a similar problem and ended up solving
my problem (the "TLS 1.0" checkbox in IE settings was not enabled)
