Word for word I am receiving this message below every time I am trying to get
onto my campus cruiser. I have service pack 2 running on XP home and updated
all the possible updates including my IE 6 browser and I am still receiving
this message. If anyone can give me any suggestions it would be great.
Thank you.

Current browser state is lost .The current browser cannot maintain a session
with CampusCruiser consistently. You may need to shut down the browser,
re-open a new browser, and log in again to CampusCruiser. If problems persist
and this message is displayed again, we recommend that you try a different
type of browser.

Are you using a dial-up connection? Reconnecting after hanging up?
Sounds like the app is expecting a broadband connection
and not adaptable to the possibility of connections dropping.
What is the problem apart from the annoyance of the message?

Does it allow you (eventually) to reconnect?
What steps are you taking to do that?
Try pressing Ctrl-F5?

I can never get on the site. I do use dial-up and AOL as my ISP. Is there
anyway I can connect to this site with dial-up?

....
I can never get on the site.

That's not true. The message you are getting is from the site.
Have you ever been logged on there? Through any connection?
It is the sort of message you might get also even on broadband
if you didn't logoff properly, e.g. if you just powered off your computer.
If there is no provision for reconnecting to broken sessions
you may need some operator intervention to get your account reset.
I do use dial-up and AOL as my ISP.

Perhaps that is the problem? Can you connect to the site
using your AOL browser?

Er, perhaps not <lol>

It may not be compatible with the AOL browser.

(Google web search for
campuscruiser aol
)

Is there anyway I can connect to this site with dial-up?

Does it have a help desk? Ask them?
Presumably they will have the details or know what to ask you
to make it work. I don't think that your browser is the problem.
I think that that message is hiding a more specific problem
that you haven't been able to identify or describe to us.

Good luck
