If you share a folder on the drive can you see that?

So, can you share the desktop's internal harddrive with the laptop?

Can the laptop see *any* shares on your network?

Somewhere in XP there is an "enable file sharing" thingy and it's
differen tin XP/pro and XP/home. SP2 also makes a differnece.
I have Pro here and found it once put can't today.

If the OP has zone alarm or similar personal firewall running turn it
off until you get things shared and then turn it on and figure out how
to allow sharing with security.
