O Noah

In the Internet Explorer 6, as I click on the 'Tools' and
'Manage Add-ons...' I get these two selections:-

'Add-ons currently loaded in Internet Explorer'
'Add-ons that have been used by Internet Explorer'

Although I can 'Disable' the Add-on, but it does not
specify how to delete an Add-on from the Explorer.
As listed, some are 'ActiveX' controls, some are
'Browser Helper Objects' and some are 'Browser
Extension', but I am not sure which ones are safe to
keep. Is there any easy way to 'Delete' an add-on
rather than 'Disable' the Add-ons ?
Appreciate all the help.

Thank you Robert,

I had a hope that Explorer 6 may have a way to 'Manage Add-ons...'.
such as deleting, 'Active-X' or 'Browser helper Objects' or 'Browser
Extensions', apparantly it does not. At least it can disable.

Is there any easy way to reload Explorer 6 without re-loading XP?
Thanks for the information.

O Noah

Reinstalling IE won't affet the problem, but:

How to Reinstall or Repair Internet Explorer and Outlook Express in Windows
XP
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=318378
Make sure your anti-virus is turned off.
The section
Windows XP and Windows XP SP1: Edit the registry and install Internet
Explorer 6
works on earlier versions of Windows.

You would be best off following Robear's advice.

Thank you Frank,

You have definitely given me something to chew on.
I have visited the web page that you mentioned.
Will take me couple of days to go through all these.
Thank you so much.

It's Robear, please.

As Frank points out, if the problem is caused by hijackware, reinstalling IE
won't help because Windows is what's infected. What you're seeing in IE is
only a symptom of the infection.

Thank you Robear,

I have finally reloaded the WinXP Pro. Although I have been using,
Ad-Aware, Spybot, Microsoft AntiSpyware and make sure the
Firewall is always kept active, still could not get away from
occational troubles. Anyhow, when all else fails, I just re-load.
Thank you for helping me.
